Burke Corporation has partnered with Robert Lewis, a chef and diabetic, to offer operators a diabetic-friendly new menu item. Known as "The Happy Diabetic," Robert is a professionally trained chef and graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.

Lewis is director of training and chef of the world for Happy Joe's Pizza and Ice Cream Parlor headquartered in Bettendorf, Iowa. His personal experience with Type II Diabetes has been the motivation for the creation of hundreds of terrific recipes.

Robert’s Pasta of Love recipe was featured in a cooking demonstration sponsored by Burke Corporation at this year’s International Pizza Expo.
