Dawn spent her scholastic career researching quality characteristics of pork. Upon completion of her Ph.D. she became a food scientist for Burke and worked on non-oven line product development. Today Dawn works on product optimization projects. As an undergraduate student at Iowa State, Dawn was on both cross country and track teams, and is a two-time all-American. She is an active member of the Institute of Food Technologists and is currently serving on the board of the Iowa Section of IFT. Most recently Dawn achieved her Certified Culinary Science through the Research Chef’s Association. Dawn is one of only 120 worldwide that have earned this certification.
